Thanks for all the kind words and ideas for New Years! We did end up going to town, but not to First Night. Our weather here has been CRAZY and New Years Eve wasn't any different. It was snowing like mad and COLD. We didn't think the boys would have had a good time walking between campus buildings.
We had a couple of gift cards and a need for a few things, so we took them shopping! Shopping is sooooo much fun when you don't have to use your OWN money =)
The snow was so heavy and thick. It was beautiful falling in the lights. The roads weren't great, but after driving in California last February, it was no big deal! Plus we were in Hubby's four wheel drive truck.
I love that old truck. After we got "him", I am sure it's a boy truck, I named him Sam Elliot. Hubby was sure the truck was a girl and named "her" Samantha.
When we were in California, driving through the Redwood forest, whenever Hubby drove the truck, it over heated. Whenever I drove the truck, it was fine. I told him it was because he insisted on calling the truck Samantha, when it was SO obvious that it was Sam Elliot =) (Oh yes, and I named the old green horse trailer, George. I am so weird.) So now HE is Sam Elliot.
Yesterday our beloved German Shepherd puppy went to his new home. It was a hard decision for us to have to make, but with our future so uncertain, we couldn't keep such a big dog. He is HUGE!
The people that got him are so wonderful! They brought us some sausage and salmon when they came to pick up Bishop. Wasn't that so nice?
I seem to be rambling on and on, so I'll wrap it up now! I hope you are having a WONDERFUL New Year so far!!
Oh! My New Years Resolution is to kiss Hubby EVERY DAY. For some reason kissing has gone by the wayside =( plus I thought that was a FUN resolution!! MUCH better than "lose weight". LOL
What's your New Years Resolution??

I LOVE that resolution!! I think I need to make it mine too--poor hubby!! Happy New Year!!
I am resolving not to resolve...stopping by from BSU to say Hi and Happy 2009
Loose weight! haha
lol. I name EVERYTHING that I own. My bass's name is Linguini, my computer's name is Oxley, my iPod's name is Stubbs, and I'm working on a name for my Rubik's cube right now. heehee. ^_^ And for the record...I'm with you. A truck absolutely has to be a man! :D
As far as my New Years resolutions go...I am not resolving to lose weight, but I am resolving to gain a commitment to my exercise routine this year and get into good shape. I am also resolved to dig deeper into God's Word and really open up my heart to what He has to teach me every day. I want to focus wholly on Him and that is my biggest resolution this year and every year. The rest falls into place. :)
I hope you are having a wonderful start to 2009!
In His arms,
--Abigail
Oh man! What a bummer about Bishop! I had wondered what you were going to do with him. And I'm so glad he went to a good home. Sounds like New Year's Eve was fun and beautiful. We just hung out here. Kylee spent her first NYE staying up til midnight and thought that it was an absolute blast! Lucy you!
Thanks for stopping by. Love your resolution to kiss your husband...that's one worth keeping!
Blessings to you in 2009,
Kelly Gerken
I need to kiss my husband every day too! Why is it that that goes by the wayside? In our case, I think it's just having so many people around us - we forget! Yet, it's important to show that kind of affection to each other, isn't it!
Definitely a much better resolution than to lose weight! :) ha!
Have a blessed and peaceful 2009!
Lynnette
